Party Favor Bags Wholesale: Sourcing Bulk Goodie & Loot Bags for Events
Published: 2026-09-02 | 10 min read
Party favor bags - the little pouches that hold candies, trinkets, and thank-yous - are a high-volume, repeat-order category for event planners, schools, and brands running activations. They sit alongside corporate event gifts but at the consumer-celebration end. For importers the model is simple: low cost, high customization, and reorders every season. This guide covers types, MOQ, pricing, and sourcing for party favor bags from China.
The Category
Favor bags are small (typically A5 to A4), lightweight, and almost always branded or themed. They overlap with event planner sourcing and wedding favors, but cover birthdays, holidays, and promotions. Our custom logo guide covers printing.
Types That Sell
- Tissue favor pouches. The classic crinkle bag with a ribbon.
- Non-woven goodie bags. Cheap, branded, reusable.
- Drawstring loot bags. For kids' parties and game rewards.
- Clear treat boxes/bags. For edible favors.
MOQ and Pricing
| Type | FOB Cost (China) | Retail Range |
|---|---|---|
| Tissue favor pouch | $0.15-0.5 | $1-4 |
| Non-woven goodie bag | $0.2-0.6 | $1-5 |
| Drawstring loot bag | $0.3-0.9 | $2-6 |

Customization
Screen print, foil, or full-color lamination all work on favor bags. Themed art (birthday, holiday, brand) is the product, so expect art-proof turnaround in your timeline. Bundle with corporate event gifts for bigger programs.
Quality Control Points
- Handle/string strength. Drawstrings must not tear out.
- Print durability. Rub-test themed art.
- Food safety. For edible favors, confirm the lining is food-contact safe.
Your First Order
- Pick a type and send themed artwork for proofing.
- Approve the art proof and request a physical sample.

Buyer's decision brief: Party favor bags wholesale
Gift, favour and promotional bags are bought on a deadline and judged on presentation. That changes the spec: the priority shifts from long-term durability to clean printing, consistent colour across the run and packaging that looks finished on arrival. For Party favor bags wholesale, confirm the print method against the material before quoting — sublimation only works on polyester, and low-cost screen inks can crack on coated fabrics.
Timing is the real risk with Party favor bags wholesale. Event and seasonal orders have a hard date that cannot move, which means the buffer has to be built into production rather than shipping. Book the slot early, approve samples promptly, and avoid changing artwork after the pre-production sample — at that point every change costs days you do not have.
What buyers actually need from Party favor bags wholesale
Gift, event and promotional bags are bought against a fixed date and judged on presentation. That moves the priority from long-term durability to clean branding, colour consistency across the run and packaging that looks finished on arrival.

Specification points that decide quality
- Artwork format and print method must be confirmed against the fabric before quoting.
- Colour consistency across the whole run; re-runs rarely match the original dye lot.
- Presentation packaging is part of the product in gifting, not an optional extra.
- Build the schedule backwards from the event date — timing, not quality, is the usual failure.
Two checks before you approve bulk
- Approve a physical printed sample, not a digital mockup, before bulk.
- Check colour under the lighting the items will actually be handed out in.

Mistakes buyers make with Party favor bags wholesale
- Choosing a print method incompatible with the chosen fabric.
- Leaving artwork approval too late and compressing the production slot.
- Under-ordering for an event; re-runs rarely match the original dye lot.
- Forgetting that presentation packaging is part of the product in gifting.
